I am a new member and joined to find out more about Irish orchids. Recently I found a local patch of over a hundred orchids, an amazing sight. I would like to be able to grow wild orchids in my wild garden but I know it is illegal to take from the wild. Does anyone know of a reputable outlet? Thanks in advance

There are over a hundred orchids in this single area of the field. Amazing and beautiful!

Hi Susan,
I am relatively new to this also, having only joined early last year. And while you cannot dig up plants, I don’t think there is any law against you collecting the seeds! In the hope that I might be able to do this, I bought a book entitled “how to grow native orchids in gardens large and small” online, which you might also find useful but some of the longer standing members might be able to advise on whether this is a god guide or not?
